The workshop took place between 30 Mai to 3 June, 2021, at Free Training room of E&S Center at Damascus University (opened last month). It was organized in the context of a work aiming to provide the female researchers at Damascus university with knowledge and understanding of climate change and renewable energy.

The workshop conducted by Utah Energy Company (a leading local company in renewable energy) and its main objectives were to:

• To provide knowledge of recent advancements in Solar PV and Green Energy.

• To demonstrate design and simulation concepts of Solar PV systems.

The workshop lasted for five days of an average of (25) training hours, during which the trainees received in-depth foundations related to the calculations and practical applications of renewable energy engineers, which would benefit them in possessing the skills required for their researches and to invest the high potential of solar energy in Syria.

At the end of the course, the trainees received certificates of participation, and the experts from Utah Energy received certificates of thanks from the President of Damascus University, Dr. Eng. MHD. Yasar Abdeen.
